At GemVedas, we take pride in offering handcrafted natural gemstones and jewelry, making each piece truly unique. Due to the intrinsic nature of our products, we request you to carefully review the policy below before initiating any return, exchange, or refund request.
Return & Exchange Policy
While we strive to ensure customer satisfaction, we cannot guarantee that every request for return, refund, or exchange will be accepted. We reserve the right to approve or reject requests based on the conditions outlined below.
Eligibility
Returns or exchanges are only accepted under the following conditions:
- The product was damaged during transit, or
- You received an incorrect product
Important Note:
Due to the nature of our products, videographic proof is mandatory for any return or exchange request.
- The video must clearly show the unboxing and product condition
- This helps us verify authenticity and assess the issue internally
- Requests without video proof will not be processed
Timeframe
- Requests must be raised within 7 days of delivery
- The product must be returned in original condition
- Certification and packaging must remain intact
Any tampering with the product or certification will result in rejection.
Exclusions
- No returns or exchanges after 7 days
- Shipping charges, VAT, and duties are non-refundable
- Return shipping must be borne by the customer
- GemVedas does not arrange pickup
Authenticity Guarantee
If you doubt the authenticity of a gemstone:
- Get it tested at a government or internationally reputed gemological institute
- If proven synthetic or artificial, you are eligible for:
- 100% refund
- Exchange
- Return
Non-Returnable Categories (Unless Damaged)
- Customized Jewelry
- Beads Bracelets
- Crystal Trees
- Rakhi
- Products received exactly as ordered
- Gift Cards
Additional Note:
Due to the risk of counterfeit replacement, returns are restricted on many items. Customized or size-specific jewelry cannot be returned.
Custom Jewelry Policy
- All custom jewelry is made after design approval (CAD or similar)
- Once approved and production begins, making charges become non-refundable
- If cancelled after production starts:
- Making charges will be deducted
- Remaining balance (if any) will be refunded
Refund Process
- Refunds are processed after inspection and approval
- You will receive an email confirmation
Timeline:
- Prepaid Orders: 5–7 working days
- General Cases: 10–12 working days
- International Orders: 40–45 days
Important:
Refunds are issued only to the original payment method.
COD Refunds
For Cash on Delivery orders:
- Additional documents may be required (PAN, bank details, etc.)
- Refunds will only be processed if customer details match original order details
Reasons Not Eligible for Return
- Change of mind
- Minor flaws or packaging issues
- Slight color or size variations
Customers are advised to review product details carefully before purchase.
Cancellation Policy
Orders cannot be cancelled once placed.
